Comparably’s annual Best Companies for Professional Development 2019 represents the highest ranked companies for professional development from employees who anonymously rated their professional advancement and career growth opportunites. The award winners are segmented into two ranked lists: Top 25 large companies (more than 500 employees) and Top 25 small/mid-size companies (less than 500 employees). Methodology

Comparably’s Best Companies for Professional Development Awards are derived from ratings provided by employees who anonymously rated their companies on Comparably.com between June 7th, 2018 and June 7th, 2019. Winners were determined based on their answers to the following questions: Are you challenged at work?; How often do you get valuable feedback on how to improve at work?; Do you have a mentor at work?; How often to you receive valuable feedback from your manager?; Does your current company provide meaningful opportunities for career advancement?
There were no fees or costs associated with participating, nor was nomination required. The final data set was compiled from nearly 10 million ratings across 50,000 U.S. companies. To qualify, Large companies (500+ employees) neededa minimum of 75 employee participants and Small/Mid-Size companies (fewer than 500 employees) needed a minimum of 25 employee participants. Additional weight was given to companies with more participation from their employee base.
