Thirty-seven percent of tech workers say their CEO most needs to improve their vision and strategy.
The second-most popular response was “hiring standards” (23%) followed closely by “people skills” (22%). The least popular responses were “integrity” (12%) and “work ethic” (6%).
By gender
From a gender perspective, men and women answered almost identically. The only significant differences were that 40% of men ranked “vision and strategy” as the top priority compared to 31% of women, and women placed a bit more weight on “people skills” (26%) then men (20%).
By department
Nearly every department polled by Comparably ranked “vision and strategy” as number 1 except for admin, customer support, HR, and legal. In those departments, people said their CEOs most need to improve their people skills.
