As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to disrupt nearly every element of American life, Simplus, an Infosys company, has joined with Salesforce to collaborate on a vaccine management cloud solution in support of Salesforce Work.com for Vaccines, the program designed to help customers streamline their vaccine programs end-to-end.
The combination of Simplus’ resources and capabilities with Salesforce’s trusted, flexible platform makes the program an ideal solution to help support the federal government’s order to prepare for coronavirus vaccine distribution by helping customers streamline their vaccine programs end-to-end.
The Infosys vaccine management solution covers many crucial elements of vaccine management, including campaign management, citizen registration, prioritization, provider enrollment, supply chain visibility, forecasting, vaccine administration, wellness surveys, and adverse event monitoring. Infosys’ solution is home to two communities:
- A resident community, which serves as a one-stop-shop for individuals to find information, register with state and local governments, and schedule vaccine appointments.
- A provider community, which is a central hub for providers where they can – among other features – become a COVID-19 vaccine provider, manage appointments, maintain inventory, log vaccine administration details and document adverse effects.
The vaccine management solution is built to take advantage of additional Salesforce solutions in several ways:
- Resident and provider data from Health Cloud is leveraged by Marketing Cloud to manage initial outreach, advocacy to resident populations, and follow-up communication concerning scheduling, adverse reactions, and more.
- MuleSoft is used so that public health stakeholders can get a comprehensive view of their full vaccination efforts, on state and local levels, by securely and reliably integrating both their data from inside Salesforce and external data across EMR/EHRs, state-specific IISs, and CDC portals.
- Tableau can easily then be used to access and analyze that data through interactive visualizations to track and report population health outcomes and vaccination rates.
The Simplus innovation team built agility into the solution, to make sure plans could be adapted as more is learned about the parameters of a process of disease management that is still being defined. The solution allows for the consideration of variables such as testing strategy, asymptomatic transmission, dosage frequency, and the vulnerability of certain populations. It was designed to move in close concert with an effective containment strategy: a widespread testing and containment plan is key to Infosys’ solution being realized at full potential.
“We are delivering the fastest time-to-value as well as acting in the interests of public good,” said Eric Paternoster, CEO of Infosys Public Services.
“This solution exemplifies the impact of partner innovation combined with Salesforce products meeting an urgent community need,” said Tyler Prince, EVP of Partners and Industries. “Our partners are a key growth driver of the Salesforce economy, as they extend the functionality of our platform and help customers implement our technology.”
With the widespread testing strategy and preexisting public health initiatives in place, Simplus will integrate the vaccine management solution with testing and contract tracing to complete an overarching containment strategy for the public sector.
“As we work toward a global solution during the pandemic, the importance of a robust vaccine management solution cannot be overstated. We are thrilled to bring life-changing solutions to protect our communities,” says Simplus CEO Ryan Westwood.
