Study: 10 Popular Jobs in Tech for Non-Techies

For many people, the idea of working in tech conjures up images of developers, engineers and web designers, but tech companies run on more than the power of their coders.

Large or small, most tech companies offer a variety of jobs for people without a tech background. A quick look at various job sites shows that some of the most admired tech companies are hiring people with decidedly “un-techy” jobs – creative directors, business analysts, and accountants among them.

Comparably has compiled a list of some of the most popular tech jobs, along with a snapshot of what they pay on average, where they pay the most, and current job openings in the field. The data comes from the anonymous salary records of more than 14,000 Comparably users across the tech sector.
