Sure, you need to make some money to live your life, but think about the kind of jobs most of us first ponder as kids: they’re all about being essential, being heroic, and making the world a better place. Along the way, many of us let the world chip away at our aspirations until we’ve settled for just making our lives better if we can. But let’s raise a glass of something appropriate to those earlier ambitions, and to these companies who are still working to make the world better – and who can offer fresh, still-idealistic talent of any age the kind of work they’re looking for.

We have a clear focus on sustainability and inclusion and diversity (I&D) in RX, with the latter embedded in our NIMBLE values. For RX, I&D extends beyond ensuring we are an inclusive organisation internally as we actively support organisations championing racial equity through a $1M grant awarded to not-for-profits and use our events to educate and open up conversation for other diversity dimensions such as LGBTQIA+ and Gender Equity. We are a founding member of the UFI Net Zero Events Pledge, committing the events industry to being net zero by 2050, but are aligning with RELX, our parent company, to be net zero by 2040. And we are increasingly promoting sustainability with the industries and event communities we serve.

Through these groups, volunteers have the opportunity to launch initiatives and drive programmes that continue to build an inclusive culture at RX and in our surrounding communities. In addition to the two days paid to participate in ERGs, RXers also receive two paid days a year to volunteer and dedicate their time to charitable work that they are passionate about. And for those RXers that work on our event teams they are able to contribute to planning the content and promoting initiatives that open up conversation and dialogue, acting as a catalyst for change in the industries we serve.
