For nearly half of workers, a 30-plus minute commute is the norm.
About 44% of people say they commute at least a half hour each day, according to the latest reading of an ongoing query by Comparably. More than 10,000 employees across the tech industry responded to the query.

While commutes are longer than 30 minutes for a significant portion of workers, the majority of workers (56%) have a commute that is less than 30 minutes. Indeed, half of those workers have a commute of less than 15 minutes and the other half have a commute between 15 minutes and 30 minutes.

The cities where respondents reported commutes of under 30 minutes were Phoenix (67%), Dallas (61%), and Denver (61%).
