Finding a healthy work-life balance isn’t easy for most of us, but some workers appear to struggle with it more than others.
Just 56% percent of people in legal and 57% of people in communications said they are happy with their work-life balance, according to the latest reading of an ongoing query by Comparably of more than 10,000 people in tech. Those were the lowest percentages of any other department surveyed.

On the other end of the spectrum were people in HR, 73% of whom said they are happy with their work-life balance.
One for the ages
Satisfaction with work-life balance seemed to be at its lowest among people 18 to 25 and people 51 to 55; however, the range wasn’t very large (64% to 68%), meaning work-life balance is actually a struggle at any age.

Women slightly less satisfied
Sixty-three percent of women say they are happy with their work-life balance, slightly less than the 68% of men who say the same.

The latest survey reading is as of Nov. 12.
