I'm skilled at running equipment, but I don't get paid for it. Other people are not skilled at running equipment, so they don't have to run it and get paid the same as me.
The pay is no longer competitive. We used to be paid comparatively or better than other companies with a much better benefits package than most area employers. This is no longer the case. The benefits are ridiculously expensive and our pay has lagged behind many outside employers.
It's not exactly my position that is the issue, it is those of the people who work for me. Others in the same field make $2 to $4 higher at other locations. I just wish they would look into it further, maybe staff would stay longer
