Asked to all employees at Springbranch ISD

  • Both flexible and not flexible. I was expected to meet with my classes. I was able to negotiate a deal with my building principal about coming in late and staying later for afterschool activities. However, this proved to be a problem when more and more responsibilites were dumped on me in the after school activities. I wanted out of the arrangement for two years, but felt I couldn't ask to opt out since I had agreed to it initially. I retired instead.

Asked to all employees at Springbranch ISD

  • If you mean for teachers, you are told you will get a student teacher, and then you are given no feed back or help to train some of them which are clearly not ready to take on a classroom. I had a student teacher who was assigned two schools. She did a middle school first, then moved to my high school. By then, she thought she knew it all, but she didn't. I did not even know who to contact to tell about how she was not working out. Also, principals just randomly assigned them. No input from teachers.

Asked to all employees at Springbranch ISD

  • Too inovative. Overly inovative. They need to slow down their interest in online schooling and focus on the classroom. Everything does not need to be on line. Students should not be allowed to use cell phones between classes. And lap tops in the classroom are useless. They are cheap and don't work half the time. Libraries and computer labs are what should be utilized.
