The managers themselves were open, and enthusiastic. They all seemed positive about there teams.

What are some of the best things about your team?

The desperate nurses who a dead loyal. We are super burnt out, but somehow they are still holding on. Each week another one is talking about travel nursing.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

over worked core staff, no ancillary staff, too few doctors, too many travelers making lots of money (not that this is the traveler's faults). poor communication between floors and too much animosity.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Every one wants better paid. I am more interested in getting backup staff. Medic's. techs, transporters, LPN's etc. These "Cheap" staff provide a lot of needed support to the nurses. It would lighten my work load as a nurse each shift.

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

HR needs to weed out employees who have been lazy and problems for years. Each teams needs more staff. Even techs, or ancillary "cheap staff" can be a huge help with full floors. OH is making hand over fist money, spend it on more staff, not million dollar executives.
