As a produce clerk, I can not express how terrible it is to work at brookshires. The pay does not allow for one to make a proper living, the product is sketchy at times and we are forced to put it out and our district merchandizer does not know what he is doing. Moving stuff that should not be moved
What do you like best about the leadership team?
Our Store Director is nice, as is the second in command. I feel that they do the best they can with what they are given, but upper management only cares about money and most are over paid for what they do.
What are some of the best things about your team?
My team has great chemistry. We get a long great and are able to work off each other. The problem is upper management doesn't want us working as a team. They want to have somewhere there all the time when it makes little sense to do so.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I feel undervalued because the pay compared to other companies is amazingly low. When you work hard you expect to be rewarded. Not laughed at when you ask for a raise. HEB starts people off at 13 an hour. Brookshire's 7.25. Was made a part time employee who worked 45 hours a week. what beniefts.
