Jane Wasman — President of International, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at Acorda Therapeutics

Ms. Jane Wasman, J.D., has been General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Acorda Therapeutics, Inc. since May 2004 and its President of International at Acorda Therapeutics, Inc. since October 09, 2012. Ms. Wasman serves as a Chairman of SELLAS Life Sciences Group. Ms. Wasman served as the Chief of Strategic Development of Acorda Therapeutics, Inc. from January 2012 to October 2012. She also served as Executive Vice President of Acorda Therapeutics from July 2004 to January 2012. She served as Staff Vice President and Associate General Counsel at Schering-Plough Corporation, supporting U.S. pharmaceuticals operations, including sales and marketing programs and related commercial and compliance activities, FDA regulatory matters and research and development activities. Among previous roles at Schering-Plough, she headed the International Legal Group. Ms. Wasman was a litigation attorney at Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson where she was involved in all aspects of commercial litigation, including securities, business fraud, environmental, product liability and commercial disputes. She has been Member of the Board of Directors at New York Biotechnology Association Inc. since January 2008 and Biotie Therapies Corp. since May 11, 2016. She earned JD from Harvard Law School and her undergraduate degree from Princeton University, Magna Cum Laude.
