Valerie G. Brown is Executive Chairman of Advisor Group, Inc., one of the nation’s largest networks of independent financial advisors with more than 5,000 independent advisors and approximately $190 billion in total client assets under management. Advisor Group provides comprehensive broker-dealer services, technology, and advisory programs through its four registered broker-dealers and Registered Investment Advisors: FSC Securities, Royal Alliance Associates, SagePoint Financial, and Woodbury Financial Services.
Before assuming her current position with Advisor Group, Ms. Brown served as the Chief Executive Officer of Cetera Financial Group from the company’s formation in 2010 until its sale in 2014. In 2009 she led the spin out of the Cetera companies from ING to Lightyear Capital. Prior to Cetera, Ms. Brown was chief executive officer of ING Advisors Network, having previously served as its president for five years.
