Executive Bio

Mr. Noam Freedman serves as the Chief Network Architect and Senior Vice President of Networks at Akamai Technologies, Inc. With over fifteen years of experience in management and technical leadership roles, Mr. Freedman has responsibility for Akamai's Network organization and is jointly responsible for Akamai's Global Carrier Strategy team. He served as Vice President of Networks at Akamai Technologies, Inc. Mr. Freedman joined Akamai in 1999 to lead its Network Architecture team. He served as a Chief Architect on Akamai's Architecture Board since 2002, and provides technical vision, oversight, and review for engineering and operations efforts across Akamai. He has led the Global Network organization since 2006. Prior to joining Akamai, he was a member of a computational research group at Argonne National Labs and a lecturer in the Masters Program in Computer Science at the University of Chicago. Mr. Freedman holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Chicago.
