What part of Alpha Media's business is growing fastest? What part is having difficulties?
Top Employee Response
Alpha's total number of stations has grown quickly, and that's part of the issue. Corporate is having a hard time keeping up.
If you could make changes, how would you improve the culture at Alpha Media?

1) Pay the employees at least 40-50% more than you're paying them now. These are broadcast professionals, yet they're being compensated like fast-food workers. 2) Recruit and train more "live and local" broadcast talent. The increased reliance on syndicated and voice-tracked out-of-market talent is killing Radio. Personality and great storytelling still matter more than people who just read generic positioning statements between long commercial-free song sets. 3) Do a better job of working with your local markets to institute best practices that work for everyone, rather than leaving your local markets to "figure it out" for themselves. Leadership starts at the top, and there is often a lack of unified direction from Corporate.
