Ms. Teri Lynn McMahon is a Partner at Alston & Bird LLP. Ms. McMahon emphasizes mergers and acquisitions, private corporate finance, leveraged buyouts and general corporate law in her practice. Ms. McMahon has had extensive experience in acquisitions, divestitures, and the general corporate management of businesses, including those involving portfolio companies controlled by one of the largest private investment funds in the Southeast, CGW Southeast Partners. She has negotiated and drafted purchase and sale agreements, shareholders and employment agreements, and other documents typical in management-led buyouts, in addition to representing both large public corporations and small family-owned businesses in complex acquisitions and sales. She received her J.D. in 1987 from the University of Michigan Law School and her undergraduate degrees in 1984 from Duke University, majoring in economics and public policy studies. She is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and the Atlanta and American Bar Associations, focusing on the business or corporate law sections of those organizations. She currently serves on the Board of the Business and Finance Section of the Atlanta Bar Association.
