Thomas C. Daniel — Partner at Alston & Bird

Mr. Thomas C. Daniel is a Partner at Alston & Bird LLP. His practice is focused upon public and private mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings including venture capital, advising clients with respect to various payment systems such as credit and debit cards, stored value cards, money transmission and the ACH system, and the negotiation and drafting of various payment systems agreements such as those involving on-line banking, stored value cards, credit and debit card processing, encryption, digital certificates, ACH, and electronic bill payment and presentment. He received his J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Kentucky where he was a member of the Order of the Coif. He also served as the Articles Editor for The Journal of Natural Resources and Environmental Law (1994-95). He received his B.A. From Wake Forest University where he graduated cum laude (Honors in Economics) and was a member of the 1986 NCAA Championship Golf Team. He is a member of the Georgia and Atlanta Bar Associations. Prior to associating with Alston & Bird, he was associated with Stoll, Keenon & Park, LLP in Lexington, Kentucky for three years and served in the U.S. Air Force from 1987 - 1992 where he was an Instructor Pilot for the Euro-Nato Joint Jet Pilot Training Program which trains the majority of NATO's fighter pilots.
