What part of Apex's business is growing fastest? What part is having difficulties?
Depending on the season and weather the company grows and shrinks. Being the largest company on the West Coast delivering dried goods like concrete, salt and other products they are very efficient and work hard to stay that way. Hard to find drivers that are okay with the way they run. With the new laws coming into affect I believe they will start getting more and more drivers that realize they have to accept the electronic logging systems.
If you could make changes, how would you improve the culture at Apex?
I am not sure I would really change things. They work really hard at being a good strong company. The company stays on top of all new laws and technologies to help the company be more efficient.
What do people at Apex think about the CEO? What do they do well and what can they improve?
The CEO probably knows all the employees by name. I have seen people come and visit him even though they do not work here anymore just to say hi to him. They work very hard to keep employees safe, working and have a fair wage. I am sure there are area's the company can work on but what company does not have that.

It is a good company to work for. If you need a day off for a family get together or emergency they understand and allow you the time off to do those things.

I enjoy working with the people here. I bet most people say that and do not mean it but you have to take the bad with the good and there is a lot more good then bad here. I find it easy to just talk to all of them and not just say hi. How is your day? and move on.
