Elizabeth Barat is Chief People Officer for AppFolio, responsible for ensuring AppFolio is a destination where employees can build their careers while making a positive impact on people’s lives, ultimately driving AppFolio’s business forward. During her time at AppFolio, the company has been named a Best Place to Work by Glassdoor, a Best Place to Work for Women by Comparably, and a Best Place to Work for Millennials by Fortune.
Since joining AppFolio in 2016 as the company’s first HR Business Partner, Elizabeth has held roles of increasing responsibility on the People team. Most recently, she served as Senior Vice President of People, where she led a team of HR business partners, operations, learning and development, talent management, and diversity and inclusion experts who diagnose AppFolio’s people and organizational needs, provide guidance and support, and design and deliver programs aimed at enabling and growing current and future leaders of the company.
Earlier in her career, Elizabeth held roles in organizational effectiveness, people development, and general HR management at Sonos and Target Corporation.
Elizabeth received her B.A. in Psychology from San Francisco State University.
