retaining employees, paying for talent instead of just hiring temps and interns to cut cost, focus more on concrete skills than soft skills

What is the best part about your compensation package?
Salaries are competitive among other Krasnodar companies, there are additional quarterly bonuses, and a personal development budget, which can be spent freely on the books and training courses.

i feel fairly paid, lots of vacation, and we get quarterly bonuses in instead of the traditional annual bonus which is awesome.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Tech industry is very competitive in terms of compensation. Arkadium is on the lower end of the benchmarking. Some employees have left because they found higher paying jobs elsewhere with less challenging work.
What are some of the best things about your team?
The atmosphere in the office is friendly and productive, and where any new hire feels welcome. One Friday of every summer month, the whole company goes barbeques together and during the rest of the year, there are fun monthly events like celebrating Halloween or having a bowling night.

I love my immediate team as well a the larger team! Everyone is very collaborative and easy to work with. There isn't any sort of unhealthy competition.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Friendly environment, not a lot of conflict
Culture is as important as revenue growth. With such attention paid, Arkadium truly is a great place to work.
We do a lot of all company team building activities which include idea generation to fun nights like bowling. HR hosts a lot of effective trainings - very different than other companies I've worked at.
everyone attacks problems from a solutions oriented mindset. IF we fail, we just focus on how to fix and move forward.

What would you improve about your company's interview process?
Current interview process is great, but not great when I joined many years ago.
What makes you most happy at work?
The company allows and encourages usage of new technologies. Modern cloud-based approaches and up to date software is used in many cases. To be on top of development trends, there are many conferences attended every year; in-house tech meetups are held as well.
I can work comfortably without feeling too pressured by management, work-life balance

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
the company is being run badly because the exec team is concerned about the wrong things. they keep focusing on culture and organization processes when the problem is the lack of employee retention.
