Ronny B. Lancaster — Senior Vice President of Public Affairs and Government Relations at Assurant

Mr. Ronny B. Lancaster has been Senior Vice President of Public Affairs & Government Relations of Assurant, Inc. since April 2, 2007. Mr. Lancaster leads Assurant's government relations group and is responsible for managing Assurant's public policy strategy at both the state and federal level. He has extensive experience in the medical and public health fields, particularly in the development of public health policy and promotion of health education. He served as Senior Vice President of Federal Government Relations of Assurant Inc. from September 26, 2005 to April 2, 2007. He served as Senior Vice President, Management and Policy of the Morehouse School of Medicine Inc., The since March 1996. From 2003 to September 2005, he served in various capacities at the Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, including Chief Operating Officer. Prior to that, he served as Vice President for Health and Social Policy at the Morehouse School of Medicine from February 1993. From March 1990 to January 1993, he served as an Executive Assistant to the Secretary and Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), where Mr. Lancaster was responsible for a wide range of policy, program and management matters. He served as General Counsel of Hamilton Enterprises Inc., Senior Washington Representative for Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association, Chief of the Division of Fee-For-Service Plans at the U.S. Office of Personnel Management and Executive Assistant to the Chairman at the National Institute for Advanced Studies. He has been an Independent Director of OraSure Technologies Inc. since May 13, 2003. He serves as a Member of Medical Advisory Board of Henry Schein, Inc. He served as a Director of Immucor Inc. since February 1, 2008. He serves as a Board Member for the Morehouse College Research Institute and President for the Minority Health Professions Foundation. He served as a Director of Morehouse School Of Medicine Inc. He admitted to the Bars of Pennsylvania and the District of Columbia. Mr. Lancaster received a B.A. in Economics from The Catholic University of America, M.B.A. from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and Law Degree (J.D.) from The Georgetown University Law Center.
