David Fredrickson — Executive VP & Global Head Oncology Business Unit at Astrazeneca PLC

Mr. David Fredrickson, also known as Dave, has been an Executive Vice President and Global Head Oncology Business Unit at AstraZeneca PLC since October 2017. Mr. Fredrickson served as Vice President of Specialty Care at AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals LP until July 28, 2016 and was responsible for leading the US Specialty Care Business, which includes driving business-unit and product performance and building high-performing teams across specialty markets to meet business goals. He served as the President of AstraZeneca K.K. in Japan. He has served as Vice Chairman of European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations (EFPIA) Japan. He served as Business Unit Director, Oncology-Hematology at Roche/Genentech, where he worked for nine years. He served as Business Unit Manager in Spain and held a number of oncology marketing and sales leadership roles at Genentech in San Francisco, including Division Sales Director and Marketing Director. He also led early commercialization strategies and life-cycle planning for key brands across multiple disease areas. Before joining Genentech, he was named as a Partner Candidate and served as a Global Account Manager for the Monitor Group, LLC, where he served for nine years. He was the Co-Lead of Monitor??s biotechnology practice, a Member of the Western US Leadership team and a co-founder of the company's offices in San Francisco. He was a Member of The Board of the Japan Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association (JPMA). He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Government from Georgetown University.
