Richard Barnwell serves as SVP of Product Engineering at athenahealth, responsible for leading the engineering teams developing our core products. Richard came to athenahealth in March 2018 from Microsoft, where he was a partner engineering manager, leading teams which develop unified endpoint management and security products.
Earlier in his career at Microsoft, Richard led teams developing the Dynamics 365 business applications. Prior to Microsoft, Richard held engineering leadership roles at a number of early-stage companies, working in a variety of domains including indoor location, industrial Internet of Things, and eCommerce. Richard started his career at Dun & Bradstreet software, working on business applications.
