Brian Agle — Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President at Avid Technology

Mr. Brian E. Agle has been Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President of Avid Technology, Inc. since December 12, 2016. Mr. Agle oversees the global finance and accounting organization as well as the corporate development and investor relations functions. He is an experienced and operationally oriented financial executive in the technology and software sectors. Mr. Agle has 25 years of experience in finance and operations spanning accounting, legal, tax, treasury, mergers and acquisitions, transition management, financial planning and business model restructuring. He served as the Chief Financial Officer at Vendavo, Inc., until April 15, 2016. Mr. Agle served as an Operating Advisor at Francisco Partners, where he was responsible for finance and accounting best practices across its 30 portfolio companies. He joined Francisco Partners in 2014. Mr. Agle served as the Chief Financial Officer at Webtrends Inc., where he led and manages all financial, human resource and information technology functions for Webtrends operations globally. Prior to Francisco Partners, he served as Chief Financial Officer of Rocket Software, Inc., since February 2008, where he directed the successful acquisition and integration of nine companies and asset purchases. Mr. Agle served as the Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President of Activant Solutions, Inc. Epicor Software Corporation (Formerly, Activant Solutions, Inc.) from November 2006 to February 9, 2007 and served as its Principal Accounting Officer until February 9, 2007. He served as Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Global Field Operations of Novell Inc., with financial responsibility for $1 billion in annual revenue. He spent 14 years at Novell Inc., where he held several financial leadership roles. Prior to Novell, he served as Manager of International Finance and Taxation with WordPerfect Corp., from 1992 to 1994. He began his career a Tax Professional at Ernst & Young, where he served as Supervising Tax Senior from 1987 to 1992. He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in California. Mr. Agle holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Master of Accountancy with Emphasis in Tax from Brigham Young University.
