How employees describe working at Ball Aerospace
I feel valued. My managers listen to what I want out of my career, see my strengths, help me develop myself, and create opportunities for me. I love the people I work with! My biggest concerns with Ball are the increasing share of work from military and defense, and the upcoming acquisition by BAE.
I had an experienced, competent hiring manager do my interview. I cannot say I have seen this replicated in many years.
My time at Ball was long. I dreaded my days, and I dreaded the long hours of harassment that haunted my working space. I wouldn't recommend Ball to my worst enemy, and I only hope for the downfall of Ball.
Really solid company that takes care of their people.
Ball's inflexibility will prevent them from attracting and keeping top talent

What's the interview process like at Ball Aerospace?
Depends on position. I was a software engineer in Lafayette, and it was a pretty standard process. I hear the Boulder campus can be a bit more involved.
That would depend on the division you are applying to work in. Where I work there is usually a phone interview followed by an in-person interview if the first one went well. Then potentially a really long waiting game while other candidates are interviewed. For where I am, I know if the interview doesn't last at least 30 minutes... the hiring manager is not interested in continuing the conversation
What benefits does Ball Aerospace provide?
Fewer and fewer each year, unfortunately.
matching 401K contributions, stock purchase plan, 3 weeks paid vacation (4 weeks after 10 years), medical dental and vision plans, tuition assistance programs, and probably other things I'm not remembering
What kind of activities do employees at Ball Aerospace participate in outside of work?
Few, but the Salsoff is a notable one. An annual Salsa competition.

depends on where you work in the company. Most of the engineers wear Hawaiian shirts, but are very busy. People tend to be professional and a little laid back while still meeting deadlines and moving programs forward. I've only been with the company 4 years and I like it here.
