Mr. Boyle served as Chief Risk Officer and Executive Vice President of Flagstar Bank at Flagstar Bancorp Inc. from January 2013 to September 2013. He served as Chief Risk Officer at Flagstar Bank. Previous to Flagstar Bank, he served as the Chief Risk Officer at FirstCaribbean International Bank Ltd. until April 11, 2012. He served as Chief Risk Officer at First Caribbean International Bank Jamaica Ltd. From 2007 to 2009, Mr. Boyle was an independent consultant on banking and risk management issues for financial services clients including commercial and investment banks, mutual funds, hedge funds, asset advisors and venture capital companies and from 2003 to 2007 he was employed by Washington Mutual, most recently as Senior Vice President and Chief Credit Officer. Mr. Boyle served as Vice-President in the Credit Department of Goldman Sachs & Co. where for twelve years his responsibilities included risk managing Goldman's Financial Institutions, Latin America/Emerging Markets, Investment Banking and Capital Markets trading activities, as well as assisting in the Counterparty risk management of its Corporate and Commodities businesses. From 1999 to 2003, he worked at Lehman Brothers Inc. as Senior Vice President and Regional Credit Manager for the Americas where he managed all of its credit risk in North and South America. Mr. Boyle is a banking executive with more than 25 years of experience who has held senior roles in the United States and abroad. His areas of expertise are well documented as they relate to Banking and Risk Management issues to Commercial and Investment Banks. A thirty-year industry veteran, Mr. Boyle served a variety of positions in investment and commercial banking, both in domestic and international markets and he also has a deep background in commercial, consumer and residential mortgage lending. His leadership saw the development of more robust analytical tools, improvements in risk policies and procedures and more effective integration of risk limits into the front-end businesses. Mr. Boyle holds Bachelor and Master of Science Degrees from Pennsylvania State University and has published in a number of academic journals.
