What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

Higher pay. Promotions. I feel like I am way underpaid. I do more work than my job description. I picked up more workload from laid off coworkers with no raise. There are rarely any promotions. Fast food workers are getting paid way more than I do as a banker. More work, stress but with low pay!!!!

Corporate leadership operates in a vacuum and dictates from above. There is a mix of apathy and narcissism that is poisoning the culture. Leadership needs to learn humility, genuinely seek feedback from their teams, adopt authentic and transparent communication, and empower employees.

Nothing. I enjoy my job but I would be more excited to be on the beach 24/7 than at a desk. Happy about my work but plenty of other things I'd rather do.

It seems that the employees, upper management, and HQ Team do not respect each other. It only shows that they are afraid of taking responsibility by deferring work to different departments. In most cases, motivation decreases when the procedures are difficult and accessibility to work is low.
