Ignacio Deschamps — Group Head of International Banking & Digital Transformation at Bank of Nova Scotia

Mr. Ignacio Deschamps, also known as Nacho, has been Group Head of International Banking and Digital Transformation at The Bank of Nova Scotia since February 25, 2016. Mr. Deschamps has been Group Head of International Banking and Digital Transformation at Scotiabank Capital Trust and Scotiabank Tier 1 Trust since March 03, 2016. As a Group Head with executive responsibility for International Banking, Mr. Deschamps oversees all of the International Bank's personal, small business and commercial banking operations globally outside of Canada. Mr. Deschamps served as Strategic Advisor to President and Chief Executive Officer of Global Digital Banking at The Bank of Nova Scotia from January 4, 2016 to February 25, 2016. Mr. Deschamps is a global banking leader with extensive experience in key Latin America markets and Europe. Prior to joining Scotiabank, he was a member of the Global Executive Committee of a leading European-based global bank, where he was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Mexico's largest bank, Head of South America and Global Head of Retail Banking. He is a graduate of Instituto Polit???cnico Nacional in Mexico City and has a Master of Engineering Administration from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
