I think there are pockets of excellence at Battelle. My difficulty has been working in CIT. This is the first time I worked for a company that views CIT as a lights on operation and not a strategic partner.

I love the fact that my projects assist military personnel and also forwards the science around global climate change.

The new senior leadership team is attempting a culture shift that, if successful, will set Battelle up for a successful future.
What did you like most about the interview process?
I really appreciated the opportunity to interact with my team during the interview process. It helped me understand the personalities that I would encounter day to day.
What needs to change to make the company culture better?
Senior leadership must identify and remove mid-level managers who are not aligned with their direction. There are many legacy managers who say the right things in front of leadership, but revert back to old practices immediate after senior leadership is not present
