What is the PTO policy at BDO USA, LLP?
The new policy is HORRIBLE. At the staff level you accrue 16 days. When you reach 8 days you no longer accrue time. You have to take PTO days before you can accrue any more time. So they put a freeze on you accruing time until you take time to get below your half mark. For those that like to take several weeks off at a time, this option is no longer available. You can no longer carry over more than half the time you are to accrue for the year.
What is the onboarding process like at BDO USA, LLP and how long does it last?
BDO's "orientation" is where you receive your laptop, a brief overview of facilities, and you quickly learn the building in NY which consists of 3 floors. It's not very informative. The tour takes 10 - 15 minutes tops, as you speed through maybe stopping once or twice to be introduced to a member or two of your new team. Then you are on your own. All training and courses you have take during your own time. You are lucky if someone sits down with you to explain some of the programs.

Work from home is allowed if pre-approved and is pretty flexible if not abused.
