View ArticleCourse Hours View/Edit
The Engage Center LMS is launching for field users very soon. The Work Review, Work Detail and Work Hours screens in icWebare updatedto prepare for the launch.
Time Entry
A new Training Time section is now visible on the Time Entry screen of icWeb. It alerts users that they now have the opportunity to edit their course hours if it exceeeded the estimated time by the course creator. In BDSU the course time was calculated by adding up each time a user interacted with the course. In Engage Center this data is not available. The course creator therefore puts in an estimated time and the user has the opportunity to edit it during the pay period.
Clicking the link in the Training time section opens the Work Detail screen where all courses taken in a pay period can be edited.
Work Detail
The Course Hours section of the Work Detail screen is now at the top of the screen. It was moved to put the list of courses in front of the field users immediatly when they open the page. The course grid contains three new time fields and and edit link.
Estimated Course Time- The course time entered by the course creator.
Course Time (Minutes)- Course Time is estimated time and is available for the user to edit during the pay period. Course time is red if it is greater than estimated time.
Course Time (Hours)- same as Course Time (Minutes) except displayed in hours format.
Edit -click the edit link to edit the hours for a course. A reason comment is required.
Editing Course Hours
In BDSU course time was calculated based on the time a user spent on the screen taking a course. This course time is not available in Engage Center. The Estimated Course Time is entered by the course creator and provided for each course taken by an employee. The employee can edit their course time on the work detail screen during the pay period if it differed from the estimated time.
The Course Time in Minutes is edited by a user clicking theEditlink.
The user/supervisor can edit the Course Time (minutes) and is then required to enter a reason and clicking Save saves the changes to the course time.
The value in Course Time when the hours are posted is what the user is paid for taking the course.
Work Review
The Work Review screen has the sameCourse CompletedandCourse Hourscolumns to show Supervisors the number of courses each field rep has taken and the total hours.
The Course Hours column is updated to show hours in red if any of the field reps course hours exceeds the estimated amount entered by the course creator. Clicking theViewlink opens theCourse Detailto view in detail which courses were edited by the field rep.
Store Reassignment - Platform Upgrade
The IT team is working on a platform upgrade and the Store Reassigment screen was used as a proof of concept.
Below are the new features users will enjoy with this upgrade.
Fast Loading Time
The screen and grid load extremely fast no matter how many records are loaded. The page no longer refreshes completely after each change saving time for the user.
Paging Grid with controls at bottom
The paging controls for the grid are now on the bottom. To move to the next page or change the number of items displayed in the grid are located here. Because the grid loading time is to fast we have increased the number of rows displayed before row paging.
Page Menu bar
The menu bar above the grid is resized and upgraded. We added icons to make it easier to find what you want to do quickly and the menu bar adjusts to the screen size. Since we know that users search often the search bar is permanent fixture at the top of the screen.
Grid Search
The Search button is stil used to load the grid after first opening the screen. Entering a search term and clicking enter filters the entire grid. It searches all rows and columns and filters the grid by the search term.
Column Sorting
Clicking any column header sorts the column first ascending, then descending and then shuts off the sorting. The sort direction is visible by the blue arrow.
Column Filters
E very column in the grid now has powerful filtering available, accessed by clicking the filter icon. This filtering should look familiar if users have filtered a column in Excel.
The first dropdown contains the type of filter to apply and the first text box is the value to be evaluated. These column filters can be applied to multiple columns in a grid at the same time providing powerful results.
For example: A grid could be filtered to show all rows from a specific call form, in a particular city, or all rows for a particular field rep for a call form. All this can be done without exporting the data to Excel first to manipulate.
Goal Start and End and Call Form Launch Analytics
The Merchandising team requested several analytics to help them scorecard their supervisors and field reps activity.
Goal original start and end dates- original goal start and end dates when the goal is saved. These dates are updated often on some teams; now the original date is perserved.
Call Form launch date- date when the call form launch icon is clicked by the Account Team
Resource Folders
Uploaded files in different resource folders can now have the same resource name.
Bug Fixes
Materials required after being disabled- fixed bug where materials are showing as required after the required flag is turned off.
Canadian Rep App Crash on Profile Screen- a Canadian field rep reported when saving his profile update on icMobile the app crashed. This bug is now fixed.
Warehouse Shipping Queue-Fulfillment Approved Date/time not showing - The column for approved date was always present however the data is now flowing into the column.
Warehouse Shipping Queue- Phone number in now available in the warehouse queue export.
Save call forms where task has been deleted- Bug fix to allow the sync of call forms where the task is deleted after the appointment/call form is downloaded by a field users device and entered but not synced.
icWeb Manual Appointment Add- There was a bug defaulting the start and end time to 6am no matter what time of day was selected. This bug is now fixed.
Parts Upload sets authorized for all to true-Bug fixed whereuploadedparts are not defaulted to authorized for all chains.
icWeb deep linking - copying a link beyond the login page was not working when sending it to another user. Users can now send a "deep" site link and it will take the user to the desired page after asking the user to login.
