Mr. Ross D. Cooper has been Executive Vice President at Beacon Roofing Supply, Inc. since October 01, 2015. Mr. Cooper has been General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at Beacon Roofing Supply, Inc. since July 1, 2006 and served as its Senior Vice President since July 01, 2006 until October 01, 2015. He serves as the Chairman of the Business Dispute Practice Group at Shulman, Rogers, Gandal, Pordy & Ecker, P.A. His successful legal background includes experience in general business, contract and construction litigation, securities, antitrust, employment practices, intellectual property and government contracts. Mr. Cooper began his legal career with the Washington, D.C. office of Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson, after which he became a trial attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice, where he received the Attorney General's Outstanding Achievement Award from 1993-1995. He returned to private practice with the Washington, D.C. office of Kaye, Scholer, LLP. He served as Outside General Counsel of Building Suppliers Corporation, LLC. Mr. Cooper received a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Cornell University and a J.D., with high honors from George Washington University Law School, where he earned the Order of the Coif and was a member of the George Washington Law Review.
