Mr. Thomas D. Cestare, also known as Tom, served as the Chief Financial Officer at Beneficial Savings Bank MHC. Mr. Cestare has been the Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of Beneficial Bancorp, Inc. (Formerly, Beneficial Mutual BanCorp. Inc.) and its subsidiary Beneficial Bank since June 17, 2010. He served as the Chief Accounting Officer of Santander Holdings USA, Inc. (also known as Sovereign BanCorp. Inc.) since joining in February 2005 and served as its Executive Vice President. He served as the Senior Vice President of Santander Holdings USA Inc. He also served as an Executive Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer of Santander Bank, N.A. since August 21, 2006. Mr. Cestare served as Senior Vice President of Sovereign Bank. He began his career in 1990 with Arthur Andersen LLP, where he served as Staff Auditor, Audit Manager and Senior Manager. He joined KPMG LLP in May 2002 and served as its Partner since 2003. At KPMG, he was named audit manager in 1995 and promoted to senior manager in 2000, serving some of their largest and complex clients with a specialization in financial services including leasing, credit cards, commercial banking and insurance companies. He was responsible for External Financial reporting with regulatory agencies, including both SEC and OTS reporting, establishing and monitoring corporate accounting policies and other financial projects. Mr. Cestare graduated BS in Accounting from University of Delaware and is Member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
