The Betterment team is composed of many backgrounds but the consistent theme is this: Every employee is empathic, smart, fun, and excellent at what they do.

Everyone on my team is smart and the management style is very open and supportive rather than punitive.

They're a sharp group of people! You can learn so much from the people around you.

What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?

Betterment fosters an incredibly nurturing, supportive work environment. Resources are made readily available (read as: incredibly accessible) and team leads are very concerned for your wellbeing -- not just as an employee but as a person.

The dedication to raising issues in an open and supportive way.

I think that the culture is very open and positive. People will happily pitch in and help out even when outside of their normal role resp.

What did you like most about the interview process?

I got to go to lunch with a couple of staff that, as a rule, had no input with the interviewers, giving me an opportunity to ask questions that wouldn't affect my chances of hire.

Work life balance and growth opportunities

Easy answer. The coworkers make the job (though the general office space, endless snacks, and team bonding activities are also guaranteed to produce joy).

I genuinely love the people I work with as well as the work that I get to do. My manager gives me a lot of autonomy which is amazing
