The logistics are frustrating. I don't feel connected and I don't see a way to get more classes or earn a raise.
What needs to change to make the company culture better?
Attitude toward having kids. I was put off for a semester because my due date was close to the start of the semester. Not sure that's even legal.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
I have been told many times I will get more classes next semester, but then I still only have one class. Don't make promises you can't keep. I depend on this income.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I have taught there for two years and a teacher's aide could make the same amount I do for creating a course. Also, they introduce every new staff member in a circular, but adjunct professors are never introduced.
