Mr. Steven M. Capelli, also known as Steve, has been Chief Financial Officer of BlackBerry Limited since October 01, 2016. Mr. Capelli serves as a Board Advisor of ParStream. Mr. Capelli has over 25 years of experience implementing operational improvements and integrating key strategic acquisitions that resulted in sales growth and improvements in profitability. Most notably, his senior leadership roles at Sybase and Pyramid Technology were crucial to the successful 'turnaround' of both and eventual sale to SAP and Siemens respectively. His experience in corporate planning and business development should strengthen Flux's sales, marketing and distribution focus and execution, particularly with national accounts. He served in various management positions at Sybase, Inc. (acquired by SAP), from December 1997 to April 2011. He served as the President of Worldwide Field Operations of Sybase, Inc. from August 2006 to April 2011 where he led the successful turnaround and expansion of global teams focused on Sales, Consulting, Maintenance and Education. He served as Senior Vice President and General Manager of North America Operations of Sybase, Inc. since February 2004 and January 2005 respectively. He served as General Manager of Worldwide Partner Group for Sybase, Inc. from February 2004 to January 2005. Before joining Sybase, he worked at Siemens Pyramid as the Chief Financial Officer and Vice President. Immediately prior to that, he served as Senior Vice President and General Manager of Worldwide Field Organization since January 2003. Before that, he served Senior Vice President and General Manager of North American Operations from March 1998 to July 2002. Before joining Sybase in December 1997, he worked for Siemens-Pyramid, a subsidiary of Siemens Nixdorf from August 1992 to December 1997. In that time, he held several positions including Chief Financial Officer, Vice President of Inter Continental Sales and Director of Field Operations. He started his career as a Controller in several companies, including Digital Equipment Corporation, Unisys Corporation, WR Grace and Company and Burroughs Corporation. As President of World Field Operations, Mr. Capelli led Sybase to be one of the most widely recognized database companies in the financial, healthcare and government sectors and a leader in mobility solutions. Responsible for revenue growth and market leadership, Mr. Capelli led global teams focused on direct and partner sales, including ISV, OEM, distributor and reseller channels. Mr. Capelli has been Chairman of the Board at Bradmark Technologies, Inc. since September 2015. He has been an Independent Director of Rimini Street, Inc. since January 27, 2014. He has been a Director of Apropos Technology, Inc. since January 31, 2005 and LiveOps, Inc., since May 1, 2014. He serves as a Board Member of ParStream. He has been a Member of Advisory Board at Flux Power Holdings, Inc. since November 3, 2014. He served as a Director at Enmetric Systems, Inc. since September 2013 and also served as its Member of Advisory Board since October 15, 2013. Mr. Capelli holds an M.B.A. from Rutgers University and received a B.S. in Accounting from The College of New Jersey.
