Mr. Kevin Burke has been Head of Customer Acquisition at Square, Inc. since December 2014. Mr. Burke head up acquisition channels for Square, including retail, paid, web, and events marketing, and help Square's complete register service and back office tools to independent businesses worldwide. He served as Chief Marketing Officer of Core Products at Visa Inc. Mr. Burke was responsible for enhancing the impact of Visa's core Marketing programs across all geographies, managing the company's global network of partnerships and agencies and developing best practice tools. He joined Visa in 2005, and previously served as the Head of Global Consumer Marketing and Senior Vice President of Advertising and Head of Global Marketing & Strategy for the Americas. During this time, he has been instrumental in the transformation of Visa's Marketing organization and in overseeing key strategic initiatives such as: the development of Visa's global positioning, creative strategy and global campaign; the development of three Olympic Programs and one FIFA World Cup; and global platforms for Affluent and Cross Border. Mr. Burke is a dynamic and results-driven marketing executive with exceptional strategic and business development skills. With over 20 years of advertising and brand communications experience, he has worked with many leading brands including AT&T, Microsoft, Chevron, American Express, Citibank and E&J Gallo. Prior to joining Visa in January 2005, he was the President of JWT San Francisco managing a host of clients including Providian Financial and PG&E. Before his post at JWT, he co-founded Tonic 360, an advertising agency serving digital brands, and built the agency to over $100M in billings with clients that included Amazon.com, Hotmail and Sun Microsystems. In October 2000, Tonic 360 was acquired by JWT, a division of WPP Group, one of the world's largest communications holding companies. He got his start in advertising at Bronner, Slosberg, Humphrey (now known as Digitas) in his hometown of Boston, Massachusetts. In 1988, Mr. Burke moved to the Bay Area when he joined Foote, Cone & Belding, San Francisco. While at FCB, he worked on Pacific Bell, Qantas, Janus Funds and E&J Gallo. He later joined Anderson-Lembke to lead the Microsoft account just as Microsoft was launching Windows 95.
