Executive Bio

Mr. Josh Chernoff has been Managing Director of Retail, Consumer Packaged Goods & Hospitality Practice at Box, Inc. since January 19, 2015. Mr. Chernoff helps Box deepen its expertise in the retail, CPG and hospitality industries and support the growing number of customers on its platform. He is a proven leader and industry veteran whose years of experience working at the intersection of technology and retail is instrumental He is a long-time retail industry veteran with more than twenty years of experience advising retailers and their suppliers. He was a Partner in Bain & Company?? s Chicago office and a leader in the firm's Retail practice from 2009 to 2013. He joined Bain after 12 years at A.T. Kearney, where he was the global practice leader for Retail and Consumer Industries. He began his career at Macy's, where he served in store management and as a buyer. He has led a broad range of projects for clients in North America, Europe and Asia. His client work has included large-scale transformations for some of the largest national department stores, big box and specialty retailers, integrating a number of disciplines to help his clients achieve new levels of profitability and competitiveness. He earned an MBA from Northwestern?? s Kellogg School of Management, where he was an Austin Scholar. He also received a BA from Yale University.
