Missy Krasner — Managing Director of Healthcare and Life Sciences at Box

Ms. Missy Krasner serves as Managing Director of Healthcare and Life Sciences at Box, Inc. Ms. Krasner serves as a Special Advisor at Canvas Management Company, L.L.C. She focuses on health IT and digital health. She serves as an Advisor at CareDox Inc. She is a Mentor at StartXMed and the Nike Accelerator, and advises several health information technology startup companies. She is also a Mentor at 500 Startups and a Mentor at Health Box. Ms. Krasner also advises several health 2.0 startup companies in the Silicon Valley. Ms. Krasner served as a Special Advisor at Morgenthaler on health IT deals.Previously, she was an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Morgenthaler. Ms. Krasner worked at Google for five years in health and consumer marketing. She was one of the Founding Members of Google Health. In her later years at Google, Ms. Krasner managed and led the search launches marketing team. Prior to this, she worked for the Bush Administration in the Secretary's Office at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). She served as a Senior Advisor to Dr. David Brailer. Previously, she worked as a Product Marketing Director at CareScience. She also worked at Aetna where she spearheaded provider networking and communications during two corporate mergers to help the company enter the managed care space. Prior to this, Ms. Krasner led the Communications and Research at the Kaiser Family Foundation. She served on the CCHIT Task Force on PHRs, the Lance Armstrong International Advisory Council, and the Planned Parenthood International Marketing Advisory Council. She has been a Director of DigiSight Technologies, Inc. since March 2016. She serves as Member of Board of Advisors at Eko Devices, Inc. Her experience ranges from coordinating high-level policy briefings at senior levels of federal government to launching technology products at Google. She has over 25 years of health IT experience in business development, product marketing, and enterprise sales. She has more than 20 years of product development and marketing, business development, and policy experience in healthcare and health information technology. She has published a series of articles and blogs. Ms. Krasner holds an M.A. from Stanford University in Communications, Healthcare Policy, and Business Administration, and a B.A. in English Literature and Theater from the University of California Los Angeles.
