What do you like best about the leadership team?
My manager has supported me throughout the pandemic with empathy, meaningful support, and flexibility.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Actually leading and making strategic decisions; actually doing what they are paid for versus having their team do the work for them
What is the best part about your compensation package?
Work/Life Balance and the flexibility to create my own schedule.
Remote first. Unlimited vacations that you're actually encouraged to take.
Compensation is very nice. Raises and bonuses given out fairly and regularly. Benefits are top of the line.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

What are some of the best things about your team?
My team inspires me every day, even through Zoom.
There is an element of fun in everything we do. We always try to improve our efficiency and processes as a team and we are pretty honest with each other about issues that arise. Most of the team are really smart and creative people and there is a sense of overall respect between team members.
What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The company culture is based on empathy, open-mindedness, and lifelong yearn for learning.
The company is serious about DEI. The entire company spent over 9 hours in sessions with NOVA and we hold one another accountable. Psychological safe and speaking your mind is encouraged.
Sense of friendliness between people, lots of fun perks. Wellness has been a big thing this past year and it actually really impacted my health positively.
What needs to change to make the company culture better?

What did you like most about the interview process?
It was very clear from the beginning what the steps would be. They worked with me around my schedule. One of the steps was with HR to discuss the company culture which is very valued.

What makes you most happy at work?
The ability to create something that makes a difference to better the future by empowering children and educators
If I wear my BrainPOP shirt outside, I get mobbed by kids and teachers. Nothing compares to having a kid tell you you are the reason they like learning.
