Branch Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

Family Health Benefits , 401K

Review from Engineering Dept

The compensation package is one of the best aspect of working for Branch. Benefits are amazing, perks are really fun and the salary very competitive. This package is the best overall I've encountered in my career to date.

The base salary is competitive

Salary, free lunch & working with great people

Review from Marketing Dept

Paid at market rate or above.

Review from HR Dept

Base pay. Stock options are under water at this point.

Review from Engineering Dept

Restricted Stock Unit, Remote office

RSU and home internet support.

The base salary is competitive and fair.

Very competitive , good benefits , great insurance coverage

The RSU or the stock option is the best part in the compensation. Long term association with the company comes with a benefit of becoming a shareholder of the company. This gives a sense of ownership and is a great way to retain talent.

All the perks given to a remote employee, which prevents me from wanting to work at a Branch office.

Review from Sales Dept

Salary and equity in the company

Review from Finance Dept

reimbursements, in office employee perks

Review from HR Dept

Stock Options and the company is growing. I am engaged with long term goals.

Review from Engineering Dept

The compensation is competitive, including a base salary, stocks, and other insurance and in-office benefits. My favorite benefit is compensation for at home tele-commuting (phone + internet).

Review from Engineering Dept

Compensation is industry competitive and not complex, very straight forward.

Review from Product Dept

Decent base pay (salary) for my field

Review from Engineering Dept

Benefits like maternity leave and flexible PTO

Review from HR Dept

Fair and reasonable compensation overall

Review from Engineering Dept

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

It's not unique to Branch, but unless you are vocal and extroverted, you get ignored by the compensation radar even if you are an extremely high performer. Recognizing quiet performers once every year without the compensation and equity bumps is meaningless and a fast track to attrition.

Review from Engineering Dept

I have a 10% cut from my previous salary.

Better alignment with my industry

when you're a top performer at branch, they tend to overwork you and put a lot on your plate, which doesn't necessarily come with title or pay or exposure increase.

I feel that we are not paid enough for the amount of work we do. Also we have the minimum Annual Leave days. There is no clear guidance for promotion, and promotion is often to those who make a lot of noise, not necessarily those that do the job they have been employed to do.

Review from Customer Success Dept

base pay needs to be increased, other benefits like 401k employer contribution, gym allowance would be good to have

Review from Engineering Dept

I feel undervalued because my role at similarly sized companies w/ the same level of experience is compensated higher & comes w/ a higher title & more strategic responsibilities. Branch should invest in me to demonstrate my value & contributions are appreciated.

I know my base salary would be much higher elsewhere in the market, but also understand the cut I have to take at a pre-IPO company. I believe my options will one day make up for it.

Review from Sales Dept

The amount of work and hours put in does not equal what my peers are making.

Review from Engineering Dept

Probably the decision in regards to the role I got vs what I interviewed for and the salary attached to it.

Review from Customer Success Dept

wanna more clear workflow. wanna more training

I just feel the comp package is a little below market and could be higher overall.

Review from Sales Dept

I am expected to provide value that my peers are expected to provide, but they get paid more and have bigger titles. To make me feel valued I should have an equivalent title and be paid the same or stop requiring so much from me.

equity provisioning across the company is wildly disparate

To be fairly paid by the actual role in each market, not by the entire career length.

Review from Sales Dept

As a pre-IPO company, I know that we'll pay below market for some positions. Share grants are the only way to overcome that deficit.

Review from Sales Dept

Could be a little more compensation for the role.

Comp data for my industry is published online, and refreshed annually with data contributed by hundreds of organizations both big and small. This is how I know I'm paid under market.

I feel like people of similar levels around me have more equity. I would feel better about my compensation with additional equity.

Review from Sales Dept

The work you do at Branch is often the best work of your life, but sometimes it can feel that the compensation doesn't match the level of effort and time you put into the role and company.
