She served as Vice President and Counsel of Human Resources at Apollo Group from October 2000 to February 2006 and Director of Human Resources from 1998 to 2000. She served as a Deputy County Attorney in the Office Employment division of Pima County Attorney. From October 1992 to July 1996, she served as an Attorney in the Pima County Attorney's Office in Tucson Arizona. Ms. Thompson holds a B.A. in Special Education from the St. Cloud University, an M.A. in Women's Studies from Antioch University and a J.D. from the University of Arizona College of Law.
