Marc Brown — Chief of HR & SVP at Bridgepoint Education

Mr. Marc Brown has been Chief Human Resources Officer and Senior Vice President at Bridgepoint Education, Inc., since July 2014. Mr. Brown is responsible for driving the business and people strategies for Bridgepoint and its two academic institutions, Ashford University and University of the Rockies. He provides guidance in talent acquisition, leadership development, strategy and planning, learning and development, employee relations, talent management and other key areas of human resources. With more than 25 years of experience, Mr. Brown is a seasoned human resources professional who specializes in organizational development and strategic business partnering. He served as the Vice President of Human Resources & Corporate Communications at Provide Commerce. He served as Vice President of Human Resources at Petco Animal Supplies and Encore Capital Group. Mr. Brown earned his MS in Organization Development from American University and his BS in Management Science from Virginia Tech. He has also achieved the Senior Professional in Human Resources Certification and completed the Human Resources Executive Program at Stanford University.
