Thomas McCarty — Chief Marketing Officer and Senior Vice President at Bridgepoint Education

Mr. Thomas McCarty, also known as Tom, has been the Chief Marketing Officer and Senior Vice President at Bridgepoint Education, Inc. since January 9, 2017. He oversees all marketing efforts for Bridgepoint Education and the company's two academic institutions, Ashford University and University of the Rockies. He served as a Sales Director at Aptimus, Inc. Prior to joining Bridgepoint, he led his own marketing and management consulting firm, where his clients ranged from institutions of higher education to medium-sized businesses and non-profits. He also served in several roles at Apollo Education Group, including Senior Vice President of University Strategy for the University of Phoenix and Senior Vice President Product Marketing for Apollo Group Marketing. Prior to his employment with Apollo Education Group, he led Aptimus as the General Manager of the education business. He holds an MBA in marketing from San Francisco State University and a bachelor's degree from University of California, Berkeley.
