Executive Bio

Mr. Ed Redmond serves as Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Compute and Connectivity (CCX) division at Broadcom Limited. In this role, Mr. Redmond is responsible for Ethernet controllers, connectivity switches, Knowledge-Based Processors and ARM-based SoCs. Mr. Redmond joined Broadcom in 2010 after serving as Senior Vice President and General Manager at NextWave Wireless, where he led a merchant silicon chipset business unit delivering a leadership 4G wireless solution including a broadcast over WiMax service. Prior to joining NextWave he served in various engineering leadership roles at Intel in both wired and wireless networking, including where he delivered the first several products and customer programs for the launch and subsequent volume ramp of Intel's Centrino Mobile Technology Wi-Fi modules. Mr. Redmond received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Oregon State University and an M.S. in Communications and Digital Signal Processing from Santa Clara University.
