What do you like best about the leadership team?
Supportive, understanding, appreciative, smart, experienced.
Leadership focuses on what matters most to drive the business. The corporate team is fairly lean but setting priorities for each position helps maintain focus and profitability. Work-life-balance is the best here. There is zero bureaucracy or politics. We're treated like family.

What is the best part about your compensation package?
The benefits package at Brooklyn Bedding is comparable to or better than most major corporations (medical, dental, vision and life insurance)--amazing since it remains a family-owned business. Importantly, the owner also sponsors a generous, tiered 401(k) match program up to 5%.

What are some of the best things about your team?
Brooklyn Bedding is growing but still maintains a family business environment. We genuinely enjoy working with each other. We're most focused on activating initiatives as opposed to planning the plans to plan. The meetings we have are highly productive. We get to take calculated risks.
What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Having spent so many years with major corporations I have to say this place is a dream. There's a highly productive but fun atmosphere that emanates from the top down. Brooklyn Bedding has been thoughtful in hiring employees who are a good fit--both from a skill set and collaboration standpoint.
What needs to change to make the company culture better?

What did you like most about the interview process?
The initial phone screen is very quick and personable. If you make it to the second round at headquarters you can expect a friendly but very robust interview. Hiring managers will ensure you really have the skills to do the job and will do a fairly deep dive in questioning to that end.

What makes you most happy at work?
Because the company continues to grow, there is ample opportunity at Brooklyn Bedding to grow in your role. We're allowed to expand on formerly acquired skills or develop new talents to stretch. There is also a high sense of collaboration.
