Deepak Mohan — Senior Vice President of Products & Engineering at Carbonite

Mr. Deepak Mohan has been Senior Vice President of Products & Engineering of Carbonite, Inc. since February 21, 2017. Mr. Mohan oversees product strategy, engineering and product management for the entire Carbonite family of home and business solutions. He served as Senior Vice President of Storage & Availability Management Group Symantec Corporation at Symantec Corporation. Mr. Mohan served as the Senior Vice President of Information Management Group at Symantec Corporation from 1998 to 2013 and served as its Senior Vice President of Data Protection Group. Mr. Mohan was Founder and Chief Executive Officer for ActoVoice, Inc. from October 2015 to February 2017. Mr. Mohan served as Senior Vice President, Backup & Recovery Systems Division for EMC Corporation, a leading provider of IT storage hardware solutions, from July 2013 to September 2015. Mr. Mohan was responsible for the strategy, development and delivery of Symantec's data protection products, including Veritas NetBackup, PureDisk, Symantec Backup Exec and Backup Exec System Recovery. He served as Vice President of Symantec Backup Exec product group, where he led the engineering and product management teams to successfully launch Backup Exec 12 for Windows Servers ' the gold standard in Windows data protection ' and Backup Exec System Recovery 8.0 in February 2008. Prior to Symantec, he served as Senior Level Engineering Management Positions with Veritas Software, Seagate Software, Query Object Systems, Computer Associates and Cheyenne Software. He has more than 25 years of experience in the software industry. He holds two patents in the data protection space. Mr. Mohan holds an M.A. in Computer Science from New York University and a B.A. from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, India.
