She is a member of numerous outside boards, including Gearbox Group, Inc., The Center for Prevention of Abuse and OSF Saint Francis Hospital. Ms. Johnson served at the Director of Business Planning for the North America Strategy Board from 2003 to 2005. Ms. Johnson was named a recipient of the Automotive Hall of Fame 2002 Young Leadership and Excellence Award. She also serves as the Executive Sponsor of the Caterpillar Armed Forces Network Resource Group. In 1998, Ms. Johnson received a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Michigan State University. She earned dual Masters Degrees in mechanical engineering and business administration from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1997.
