Executive Bio

Mr. Frank J. Crespo has been Vice President of Global Supply Network Division at Caterpillar Inc., from August 16, 2010 to February 1, 2018. Mr. Crespo is responsible for the Global Purchasing Division and responsible for leading Caterpillar's global procurement strategy and its relationship with its supply base. He served as Caterpillar's Chief Procurement Officer. He has responsibility for leading Caterpillar's global procurement strategy and its relationship with its supply base. He served an additional 18 years in the Naval Reserve and retired as a Captain. He joined Caterpillar in August 2010 from Honeywell International Inc. He served as a Vice President and Chief Procurement Officer for Honeywell International and responsible for setting strategic direction, developing and managing the supplier base, driving supplier alliance relationships and building and delivering people excellence within the organization. Mr. Crespo, who joined Honeywell in 2007, has over 20 years of high-tech industry and military procurement and business experience. Prior to joining Honeywell, he served as the Director at Global Category Management at Electronic Data Systems in Plano, Texas, where he was responsible for creating a global commodity management structure across each business unit. Before joining Electronic Data Systems, he served as the Vice President of Semiconductor Materials for Praxair, Inc. Prior to this role, he was the Vice President of Global Procurement and Materials Management for Praxair, Inc. Mr. Crespo also served in senior procurement roles for Texas Instruments, Inc. and Hewlett-Packard Company. Following his graduation from the Naval Academy, he served as a Nuclear Submarine Officer in both Vallejo, Calif., and Norfolk, Va., as the Department Head for Supply, where he managed a large inventory and logistics budget for the Navy. He concluded his active duty career as a Defense Contract Specialist for the Naval Sea Systems Command in Washington, District of Columbia. He serves as Member of Executive Advisory Board at SCM World Limited. He has been a Director of LCI Industries since May 21, 2015. He serves as a member of the Board of Trustees for Proctor Hospital. He serves on the National Advisory Council and the Supply Chain Advisory Council for the Marriott School of Business, Brigham Young University. Mr. Crespo graduated from the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md., with an Engineering Degree and earned his MBA from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration.
