Mr. Joseph H. Stegmayer has been the President and Chief Executive Officer of Cavco Industries, Inc. since June 2003. Mr. Stegmayer has been the President and Chief Operating Officer of Clayton Homes Inc. (Clayton) since July 1993. Prior to joining Clayton in 1993, he was employed by Worthington Industries since 1973 and most recently served as Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer. He also served as the President of Centex Corporations manufactured housing holding company, Centex Manufactured Housing Group, LLC, since September 2000. He served from January 1998 to September 2000 as President - Retail Operations and Chief Financial Officer of Champion Enterprises, Inc., a publicly traded company that builds and sells manufactured homes. From 1993 to January 1998, he served as President, Vice Chairman and Chairman of the Executive Committee of Clayton Homes, Inc., a company that builds, sells, finances and insures manufactured homes and operates planned housing communities. He has been the Chairman of Cavco Industries Inc. since June 2003. Mr. Stegmeyer has been a Director of Cavco Industries Inc., since March 2001. He serves as a Director of the Cardinal Funds, a group of mutual investment funds. He serves as Member of the Association Board of Columbus Zoo And Aquarium. He served as a Director of First Enterprise Financial Group, Inc. since 1996. He serves on the boards of The United Way of Knoxville, Tennessee, The Knoxville Zoo, the Knoxville Chamber of Commerce and the University of Tennessee Chancellors Associates. He has been a Director of Clayton since 1986. He graduated from the University of Louisville.
